FAQ
Common questions
The quickest way to find an answer.
How do I create an account?
Open FitRoutine and tap Sign up on the welcome screen. You can register with email and a password, or use Sign in with Apple or Google for one-tap setup.
We only ask for what we need: an email so you can recover the account, and a display name. You'll receive a verification email. Confirming it secures the account and unlocks cloud sync. You can use the app fully offline without an account; you just won't get sync across devices.
How do I create a custom workout?
Open the Routines tab and tap New routine. Give it a name (e.g. “Push Day”), then tap Add exercise. You can search the library by muscle group, equipment, or movement pattern, or browse curated lists.
For each exercise, set your target sets, rep range, RIR, and rest timer. Drag to reorder, swap variants in one tap, and add notes for form cues. Save the routine and it's ready to start whenever you hit the gym. From the same screen you can duplicate, edit, or archive routines without losing your history.
Can I export my workout data?
Yes. Go to Settings → Data → Export and choose either CSV (best for spreadsheets) or JSON (best for backups and migrating to another app).
Your full history of workouts, sets, body metrics, and templates is included. The JSON export is GDPR Article 20-compliant (portability), so you can carry your data anywhere. You can also schedule monthly auto-exports to your iCloud Drive folder under Pro.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm with your password. Once confirmed, your account, workout history, body metrics, and any progress photos are queued for deletion immediately.
Live data is removed right away; encrypted backups expire within 60 days. There's no “soft delete”. We don't keep hidden copies. If you also want a copy before deleting, run an Export first.
If you can't access the app for any reason, email zawilabcontact@gmail.com from the address on your account and we'll handle it manually.
Is FitRoutine free to use?
FitRoutine is free to download. The core features, building routines, logging workouts, and seeing progress, are free forever, with no usage limits.
A few advanced features are part of an optional FitRoutine Pro subscription: cloud sync across multiple devices, advanced analytics (volume per muscle group, 1RM estimates, plateau detection), Apple Watch support, and unlimited custom rest-day reminders.
There are no ads anywhere, no tracking, and the workout-logging flow is never interrupted by upsells. Pro is paid via your device's app store; you can cancel any time from your store settings.
What devices are supported?
FitRoutine runs on iPhone (iOS 16 and later) and iPad (iPadOS 16 and later). The app is universal (buy or subscribe once and it's installed across your Apple devices).
Apple Watch support (in-set heart rate, rest timer on the wrist, and quick-log complications) is included with FitRoutine Pro on iOS.
An Androidversion is on the roadmap for a future release. If you'd like to be notified when it ships, drop us a note and we'll add you to the beta list.
