About
About Zawilab.
Zawilab is a one-person studio. It makes focused mobile apps that respect your time and earn their place on your home screen.
The studio exists to make small, deliberate software. The kind of tools you keep using a year later, not the kind you delete on a slow Sunday. Each app starts as a real itch, gets shaped slowly, and is supported as a long term commitment rather than a launch.
The bar is the same for everything Zawilab ships: design it, build it, use it daily, support it for years. Quality over quantity, in public.
What I believe.
Why I build
Most software is built to scale; mine is built to last. A small tool used daily for ten years beats a big platform you delete in a month. I make apps for people who want to solve their problem and get on with their day, not be a “user”.
Quality over quantity
I'd rather support one app for a decade than launch ten in a year. That means slower releases, fewer features, more time on the boring details: empty states, error messages, the precise feel of a button. Polish isn't the last 10% of the work. Most days, it's the work.
Privacy by default
Your data lives on your device. Sync uses your cloud, not mine. No advertising IDs, no third party analytics on by default, no selling data, ever. The business model is simple enough that I don't need yours.
Tech I use.
A small, boring stack on purpose. Picked for longevity, good tooling, and the ability for one person to maintain it without drama.

The fastest way to reach the studio is email. I read everything personally and reply within a couple of business days.
