Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Zawilab, operated by Zawaar Abbas, based in Barcelona, Spain("we", "us", "our"), and govern your access to and use of the Sortismobile application and any related services (collectively, the "App").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not install or use the App.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. In Spain, the digital age of consent is 14 under the LOPDGDD; users below the applicable age must have parental or guardian consent.

Sortis is a mobile application for making random, verifiable decisions. It includes seven draw modes: wheel, dice, coin, teams, raffle, running order, and numbers. Each draw publishes a commitment hash before it runs and reveals the underlying seed afterward, so anyone can independently reproduce the exact result and confirm it was not altered after the fact.

The App also lets you save reusable lists ("pools") of names or entries, keeps a local history of past draws, and lets you export or import that data as CSV files.

The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use. We may add, change, or remove features at our discretion to improve the App or to comply with applicable law.

Sortis does not require, and does not offer, an account. There is no sign-up and no login. Any optional tip purchase (see Tipsbelow) is tied to your device's Apple ID or Google account through the relevant app store, and you are responsible for the security of those accounts.

Your pools, draw history, and settings are stored locally on your device. You can export them at any time from Settings › Data, and remove them entirely by uninstalling the App.

You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent permitted by mandatory law;
• interfere with the operation of the App, including by introducing malware or attempting to bypass security measures;
• use automated tools (bots, scripts) to access the App or to generate draws at a rate consistent with abuse rather than normal personal use;
• use the App in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law.

Sortis is a neutral randomization tool, not an operator of any contest, sweepstakes, or giveaway. If you use a draw to run a contest or giveaway, complying with local sweepstakes and promotion law is your responsibility as the organiser, not something Sortis administers or guarantees.

The App, including its name, logo, design, source code, and other content provided by Zawilab, is owned by Zawilab or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

You retain all rights in the pools, entries, and other content you create within the App ("Your Content"). Because Your Content stays on your device, we do not host, store, or otherwise process it unless you explicitly choose to share or export it.

Sortis is free. Every feature, all seven draw modes, saved pools, draw history, the commit-reveal proof system, achievements, and CSV export and import, works fully from the first launch. There is no free tier and no paid tier: there is only one tier.

Under Settings › Support Sortis, you can optionally leave a small, medium, or large one-time tip. A tip is a single, non-recurring purchase processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. It does not unlock any feature, does not create an account or entitlement, and never renews or bills again on its own.

Sortis has no subscription of any kind.There is nothing to cancel, no trial to end, and no recurring charge to manage. Refund requests for a tip go through Apple's or Google's own standard refund process; we do not process refunds outside the stores.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Sortis is intended for casual and organisational decisions; it is not designed, certified, or warranted for use in regulated gaming, gambling, or lottery contexts.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under the applicable mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Zawilab be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the App in any twelve-month period shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us during that period or (b) €50.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (iii) gross negligence or wilful misconduct; or (iv) any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including the mandatory rights of consumers in the European Union.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data the App processes and the rights you have under the GDPR. Sortis requires no account, keeps your pools and draw history on your device, and does not sell your data.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the App, applicable law, or business practice. When we do:

• we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page;
• for material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice in the App before the change takes effect;
• your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to a revision, you must stop using the App and may delete it from your device.

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of them are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. The courts of Barcelona, Spain shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except as provided below.

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and you benefit from the mandatory provisions of the consumer-protection law of that country. Nothing in these Terms affects those mandatory rights.
